As principal content provider and founder of Seven Seas Media (SSM) this will be mostly about me – however I regularly bring in other talented specialists to complete my team depending on the project.
For over twenty years professional photography and video production has been a huge part of my life. In the early years this included starting the audio visual department for the Billabong surfwear brand. I travelled and worked with them to bring the world of the surfing elite to everyone’s attention. Later I began creating digital content for specialist corporate events, with clients including Optus, Holden and the Australian PGA.
Several years later I became heavily involved in the marketing, sales and advertising of luxury boats. During my time in yacht sales I was asked to captain a client’s yacht from Australia to Singapore which, given my love for the ocean, was an offer I couldn’t refuse. After nine months onboard I found a new itch I needed to scratch so I completed my Yachtmaster 200 ton (power & sail) accreditation. Over the next few years I worked my way around the world on yachts from 20m to 74m working as a deckhand, a captain and everything in between.
In 2017 I returned to Australia with a burning passion to have a camera in my hand once again and launched Seven Seas Media, producing digital content for businesses in the marine, real estate, cosmetic, beauty and construction industries. I thoroughly enjoy the diversity and have many clients I wish to continue working with in these fields, however my true passion lies in boating.
So now, at the beginning of 2021, I’d like to welcome you to the new look Seven Seas Media with my primary focus to service the industry that has given me so much.
I’m super excited to combine my skills and experience in videography, photography, sales, marketing and commercial yachting to deliver a custom media service to the marine industry.
